UNH faculty seek research into protest response

The University of New Hampshire Faculty Senate wants to investigate the university’s response to the recent pro-Palestinian protest that resulted in twelve arrests.

A resolution approved Monday describes the administration’s and police response to the attempt to establish an encampment on campus as “disproportionate.”

The Boston Globe reported that the administration said state troopers responded to the May 1 protest at the orders of Governor Chris Sununu and not at the request of UNH President Jim Dean.
