Snoop Dogg is headlining Potawatomi’s new concert series

Casino destination in Wisconsin Potawatomi Hotel and Casino kicks off its new Amplified Concert Series on June 15 with a performance by rapper, songwriter, actor, record producer and all-around media personality Snoop Dogg.

The 500-room property owned and operated by the federally recognized Forest County Potawatomi Community unveiled tickets for this outdoor event are already on sale and should sell out soon.

Wisconsin miracle

The Potawatomi Hotel and Casino recently completed a renovation to add a 14-table poker room and Las Vegas-style sportsbook to the already sizable 150,000-square-foot casino, which features an array of approximately 3,000 slots in addition almost 100 gaming tables.

Opened in 1991, downtown The Milwaukee location also houses eight food and beverage outletsa 1,350-seat bingo hall and the 30,000-square-foot Potawatomi Event Center.

Performance data

Potawatomi Hotel and Casino Chief Executive Officer Dominic Ortiz explained that the Snoop Dogg concert will take place at the temporary Potawatomi Amplified venue on the vacant lot immediately west of his property.

He described the former site of a slaughterhouse run by Cargill Incorporated could accommodate as many as 4,800 concertgoers and will also feature 40 picnic tables, a pair of double-decker VIP tents and a range of mobile food and beverage options.

“This year will be one of the most exciting summers the city has seen and we wanted to give residents of Milwaukee and southeastern Wisconsin another reason to visit the Potawatomi Hotel and Casino,” Ortiz said.

Travel quietly

Ortiz went on to claim the 200,000-square-foot space Potawatomi Amplified facility will offer “a range of seating options.” where partygoers can use the 4,500 parking spaces of the Potawatomi Hotel and Casino for free.

He stated that his venue additionally plans to operate “VIP parking and a rideshare track” to ensure partygoers can access the event safely and without worry.

“We are rolling out Potawatomi Amplified, the temporary venue, to host three summer and early fall concerts and we think people will be very excited to hear the names we plan to announce,” Ortiz said.

“The headliners for the July and August concerts will be announced at a later date.”

Iconic individual

Snoop Dogg first rose to worldwide fame in 1993 after the release of his debut studio album, Doggystyle, which went on to achieve multi-platinum status with sales of over eleven million copies.

The Long Beach native has gone on to release 18 other collections nominated for 16 Grammy Awards and appeared in more than 40 films.

In addition to his extensive work in music and film, Snoop Dogg has a reputation as a serious businessman through his involvement with production company Snoopadelic Films, company Shiller Web3, cannabis delivery startup Eaze, and eSports company Gangsta Gaming League.

As if this weren’t enough, the Californian also owns the influential Death Row Records label, serves as Executive Creative and Strategic Consultant for Def Jam Recordings, and runs the Merry Jane digital media business.
