Vivo Y200 Pro launch in India likely to be priced under Rs 25,000: Everything to expect

Vivo is hosting a launch event today where it will unveil the new Y200 Pro in India. In the Y200 series, the company has already launched the Vivo Y200 and Y200e. The Y200 Pro will be the highest variant in the series and is expected to be priced around Rs 25,000. The launch of the Vivo Y200 Pro will take place on the same day as that of the Infinix GT 20 Pro 5G, which is likely to be priced the same as the Vivo phone and compete with it.

Ahead of the official launch, which will take place at 12 noon on Vivo’s social media channels, the company has teased a bunch of details about the Y200 Pro. Vivo has confirmed that the smartphone will be available in two colors: light green and dark gray.

Vivo has been promoting the Y200 Pro 5G’s display, touting it as “the thinnest 3D curved display in the segment.” This suggests a phone with a sleek, waterfall-like display that offers an immersive viewing experience. Furthermore, the display is rumored to have a 120Hz refresh rate for smooth visuals and is expected to feature AMOLED technology.

The teaser photo shows that the back design of the phone features a ‘Silk Style Glass Design’, hinting at a premium look and feel. There is also a dual rear camera system at the back with an LED flash.

In terms of camera capabilities, the smartphone is expected to see improvements over previous Y-series models. It may include features such as anti-shake camera technology, optical image stabilization (OIS), and improvements for night photography and portrait photos.

Under the hood, the Vivo Y200 Pro 5G will likely be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 5G SoC, a capable mid-range chipset that should handle daily tasks and light gaming with ease. The phone is also rumored to come with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, with potential for other storage options at launch.

On the software front, the Vivo Y200 Pro 5G is expected to launch with the latest Android 14 operating system, bringing users the latest features and functionalities from Google. Additionally, Vivo will likely include the FunTouch OS UI, which offers additional customization options and features.
