Debra “Debbie” L. Flick, 73, of Rimersburg, passed away Sunday morning, May 19, 2024, at West Penn Hospital in Pittsburgh after complications from her cancer treatments.

She was born September 30, 1950 in Brookville; daughter of the late Thomas and Betty Courson Johnston.

Debbie married the love of her life, Rodney Flick, on June 19, 1971 and he survives.

She started her career as a beautician and then spent several years as a stay-at-home mother and housewife.

Debbie then went to work, where she met her lifelong friends at New Bethlehem Bank.

In 1998, she began working with Rodney at the family business CBF Contracting.

For the past twenty years, Debbie and Rod enjoyed the wintering lifestyle in North Fort Myers, Florida.

Debbie’s pride and joy was her family.

She was a loving mother to her three children, Ryan Flick and his wife, Tina, Dana Flick, and Amanda Kline and her husband, Matt, and was a loving grandmother to her grandchildren, Lexi, Zach, Josh, Allie and Addie. with whom she enjoyed being active
involved in their lives.

She is also survived by her sisters, Brenda Kindel and her husband, Connell, Pam Wiseman and her husband, Pete, and Robin Anthony and her husband, Tom; a brother, Kevin Johnston and his wife, Dena; and her sisters-in-law, Marilyn Young and her
husband, Barry, and Mary Kay Johnston; along with many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Debbie was preceded in death by her brother, Thomas Johnston, Jr. and her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Clyde and Dorothy Flick.

The family would like to thank the staff at Clarion Cancer Center and the West Penn Intensive Care Unit for their wonderful care of Debbie over the past six months.

Family and friends will be received at the Burns Funeral Home and Crematorium, Inc. on Thursday, May 23, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. in Rimersburg.

Additional viewings will be held from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM on Friday, May 24, 2024 at Faith Fellowship Church in Rimersburg, where funeral services will follow at 1:00 PM with Pastor Terry Kendrick and Pastor Josh Easlon officiating.

Burial will take place in Sligo Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Debbie’s honor be made to the Clarion Cancer Center, 150 Doctors Lane, Suite 1, Clarion, PA 16214.
